The KSQM “John Wayne Memorial Transmission Facility” was dedicated on Friday November 8 at the broadcast tower and transmission complex in the foothills of Blue Mountain between Sequim and Port Angeles.
A new KSQM transmission tower was erected on Monday, October 7th in the Blue Mountain foothills between Sequim and Port Angeles, Washington. Transmissions from the new tower will begin with a new, much more powerful signal on or about October 24, 2013 and will become the most powerful FM radio signal on the North Olympic Peninsula. KSQM is a non-profit listener supported community radio station serving residents in the Sequim/Dungeness Valley and Port Angeles areas of the North Olympic Peninsula since 2008. The $325,000 project was funded by a combination of listener donations, charitable grants and First Federal Bank. Listeners may continue to support the new voice of news, community information and music by clicking on the donation button at the KSQM website.
