As promised! Here is the opening lineup for our Diva Days Project to celebrate Aretha Franklin with the arrival of an amazing piano.

Opening Night is FRIDAY at 5PM, and the dedication of the RESPECT Diva piano will include music by Paul Creech and entertainment by Kate Lily.

Tomorrow, Saturday the 25th – we will be celebrating Aretha Franklin’s birthday with Jean Lenke, Sarah Shea & company.  After this mini concert, KSQM productions will broadcast a SPECIAL program at 6PM dedicated to the music of Aretha Franklin and Jennifer Hudson. The program, hosted and produced by Douglas Furr of NOTES BY NORTHWEST will include some of Aretha Franklin’s solo musical hits, duets, and earlier soul music that influenced her career. Music from the movie RESPECT will also be featured.  

With a suggested donation of ten dollars per person, the event is open to the public and no reservation is required, although space is limited. Refer to the KSQM Facebook page for additional daily performances.
