Dr. D's Roots of Rock program on KSQM 91.5 Sequim Washington follows through commentary and music rock and roll from the 1930's thru Woodstock. Monday mornings at 6:30 and Friday evenings at 8:30.
Every Little Thing is a one-hour weekly program that encompasses all the works of the Beatles group and solo-careers. Every show includes a wide mixture from this massive catalog, along with bonus features, such as cover versions, side-projects, music from Apple recording artists, family members, tribute songs, and rarities. Each program has a unique thematic set that closes the show, ranging from sheer fun topics (songs with numbers, girls names, songs with 3 of the 4 Beatles on record, songs that feature harmonicas, etc.) to more serious subjects (John Lennon's political songs, songs featuring Paul McCartney on drums, songs the Beatles wrote for other artists, etc.)
And every show has a trivia question or game thrown in as a bonus!

“Being a boomerang Washingtonian, I found myself reading books about the region once again, and found some of the passages quite moving, both from power of the words, and the topics to which I’d been drawn,” said Northwest Notes producer and host Douglas Furr.
“We are open to suggestions on other books to feature,” said Furr, “especially local fiction writers whose topics include stories or characters from the Pacific Northwest.” Suggestions for future episodes of Northwest Passages can be sent to office@ksqmfm.com.

Douglas is a “boomerang” Washingtonian, having lived in Issaquah, just east of Seattle, 20 years ago, and a recent transplant to Sunny Sequim.
His love of music and the radio goes back to his early youth, where he and his father would listen to the radio on long car trips. He passed on a similar love of music to his eldest son, who could name all the Beatles and the Rolling Stones by the time he was 5, thanks to FM radio.
Today that son, the clever one, is a musician and producer in Los Angeles who’s toured across the US and Europe and played backup on some big name artists’ albums.
His other son, the smart one, is a computer programmer in the Houston area.
And sorry ladies,
Douglas has been happily married for more than 25 years.
The variety of music on Notes by Northwest reflects Douglas’ love of the region and an eclectic taste in music including early rock, blues, country roots, alternative rock, and modern rock.
That’s the spectrum you’ll hear on his show on Thursdays from 6-9PM on KSQM.
